Lights On for Education - Literature Based STEAM Projects
Lights On for Education was held at Memorial Junior High School. Forest Road School library displayed various literature based STEAM projects and invited everybody to participate.

6th grade volunteers were manning the booths: STEAM Cup Challenge, Book-Inspired Building Activities, and Fairytale Problem Solving STEM challenge. Way to go~

Spring is in the Air!
After listening to The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle and Planting a Rainbow by Lois Ehlert, students in Miss Cappy's class and Mrs. Freisem's class made caterpillars, spiders, and beautiful flower bouquets during library class.

Kindergartners Read Aloud
Ms. Smithok's kindergarten students were reading aloud their favorite books such as "One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish," "Chicka Chicka 1 2 3," and "The Green Eggs and Ham" to their classmates during library class.

Peter Catalanotto Author Visit
Thanks to our PTA, children's author and illustrator, Peter Catalanotto visited Forest Road School
on February 13 as part of our PARP program and spoke to our students about
his creative process of writing and drawing from inspiration to final book.
